Dead / Unused Custom Contact Fields — HueLife

55 custom contact properties were empty across the 100 most-recently-modified contacts (June 2026 sample). 'Empty here' ≠ 'never used' — some may be populated on older or specific segments. Treat this as "not currently captured", not "delete."

⚠️ SUPERSEDED for numbers by Contact_Field_Fill_Rates.md (full 11,255-contact fill %). That found 39 truly empty, not 55 — 16 fields below DO have historical data (e.g. Recovery Status: 661, TFM Course ID: 443). Use this file for the theme grouping; use the fill-rate file for keep/retire decisions.

How to read this: each field is grouped by its likely business purpose, with how it would realistically get filled. Decide per field: Activate (build the capture mechanism) or Retire (archive if the workflow is dead).

Suggested next steps

  1. Confirm true usage — I can run a full fill-rate (all 11,255 contacts, not a 100-sample) so you don't retire a field that's used on an old segment.
  2. Activate the keepers — for each field you want, wire the capture: course fields ← your registration/course platform; survey/feedback ← HubSpot forms; demographics ← opt-in form.
  3. Retire the rest — archive (reversible) fields whose workflow no longer exists.
