What HubSpot is: A single "customer platform" (CRM) where Marketing, Sales, Service, Content, and Operations teams all work from the same database, so no team is siloed. AI tools (Breeze) are built in throughout.

The Hubs (modular products on one platform): - Marketing Hub — attract audiences, run email/landing pages/ads, convert leads. - Sales Hub — manage deals, automate follow-up, close faster. - Service Hub — support via email/chat/phone, knowledge bases, tickets. - Content Hub — website/CMS, blog, and content (with AI content tools). - Data Hub (formerly Operations Hub) — data sync, quality, automation. - Commerce Hub — payments, quotes, invoices. - All share one Smart CRM (system of record).

The data model (the mental model that unlocks everything): Think of it like a spreadsheet database. - Objects = tables (e.g., Contacts, Companies, Deals, Tickets). These are the standard objects in every account. - Records = rows (one contact, one company, one deal). - Properties = columns/fields (e.g., email, deal amount, stage). Default + custom. - Associations = links between records (a contact belongs to a company; a deal links to both). - Custom objects = your own tables for data that doesn't fit the standard four.

Pipelines: Stages a record moves through. Deal pipelines track the sales process; ticket pipelines track support status. Multiple pipelines are available with Sales/Service Hub.
