Quick Fix: Microsoft Keeps asking for Password (Outlook & Teams)

Hi. My name is Alec England. I'm a Help Desk Analyst with Impact Networking. We're gonna be covering the common issue of Outlook continuing to prompt for a password. First thing we're gonna wanna do if this occurs is sign out and back into Outlook. To do that, you're gonna wanna open up Outlook and select File in the top left-hand corner. Then choose Office Account. There, you will see an option to sign out below your name. After it signs out, there should be an option to sign back into your account. The next step that we're gonna wanna cover is clearing your credentials out of Credential Manager. To do that, you're gonna wanna navigate to the bottom left-hand search bar and type in Credential Manager, and if you scroll down, you should see a bunch of different entries. On the right-hand side of the entry, there should be an arrow down. Go ahead and select that, and then select Remove, and you're gonna wanna continue these steps on any entry that mentions Microsoft or Office. If after those steps, issues still persist, you're gonna wanna do a quick repair on the Office application. You're gonna wanna open up Control Panel by searching it in the bottom left-hand search bar, and select Uninstall a program. Find the option that says Microsoft 3 65. It may also say office right, or two-finger click the option, and then select Change. From here, you're gonna wanna make sure that Quick Repair is selected, and then click Repair. Now, those are the steps that should fix your problem with Outlook continuing to prompt for passwords.
